I Paid for Everything. You Called Me a Maid
Lisa Bancroft quits her high-paying job to marry Derek and spends three years as an unpaid housewife at his Hamptons estate, caring for his disabled mother Margaret while covering tens of thousands in household expenses from her own savings — only to be belittled and humiliated by her husband, his vain influencer sister Jade, and Margaret. After a brutal public humiliation, she gathers solid evidence and fights back. Divorce, online smears, and corporate power struggles follow — until she unexpectedly inherits Margaret's massive family trust. Rather than mere revenge, she founds a nonprofit, "Her Era," to help exploited women caregivers. In the end, Lisa builds a thriving career, heals, finds new love, and leaves her old life behind for good.
